Education:
Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
Significant* experience in financial management**, including budget planning and monitoring, financial analysis and reporting.
Significant* experience interpreting corporate policies and providing strategic advice on complex*** or sensitive matters to senior management.
Significant* experience collaborating in a complex multidisciplinary organization or environment.
Significant* experience managing human resources, including supervising employees and human resources planning.
Significant* experience leading the development and directing the implementation of corporate strategies to meet business objectives (workforce management, financial management, real property, business planning, Information Management/Information Technology, etc.).
*Significant is defined as the breadth and depth of experience normally associated with full-time performance of duties for a period of approximately two (2) years in terms of amount, complexity and diversity of work handled.
**Applicants must detail experience in financial management, including size and complexity of budgets managed.
***Complex or sensitive matters could include conflicting or confidential information, derived from multiple sources and requiring consultation/validation from various levels, resulting in impacts to multiple partners or stakeholders.
Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics or eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation (i.e. CA, CMA or CGA).
Experience:
Experience working in the Federal Public Service.
Experience working with a financial application such as Systems Applications Products (SAP).
Experience managing human resources in a unionized environment.
Experience in supporting capital investment planning.
