This process will initially be used to staff one position on an indeterminate basis, to establish a pool of qualified candidates inclusive of Public Service (PS) employees and Civilian Members (CM) for similar positions with various tenures (i.e. indeterminate, term, deployment, acting, assignment and secondment).
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process

Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience*.
*Proof of education will be required prior to appointment
EX1 - Experience maintaining an electronic or hard copy filing system in an office environment.
EX2 - Experience in using computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, or databases.
EX3 - Experience providing service to internal or external clients / general public, via telephone or in person.
A1 - Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
Experience working in a law enforcement or legal environment.
Training and/or experience in providing financial support services such as the collection and recording of monies received, handling petty cash funds, verifying supplier invoices, preparing invoices, verifying and correcting financial claims.
Experience in manipulating data in an electronic database.
Willing and able to work in a busy police environment, including exposure to unsettling and/or graphic material.
Willingness and ability to work overtime, as required.
Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
Willingness and ability to occasionally travel for work or training purposes using various modes of transportation including small aircraft.
