Assessment accommodation

Intent of the process

The immediate intent of this poster is to fill up to two (2) indeterminate position in Parry Sound, Ontario (Serving communities in Shawanaga, Moose Deer Point, Wahta, Magnetawan, and Wasauksing).

A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various language requirements (English Essential or Bilingual Imperative), various security requirements, various conditions of employment as well as various tenures (acting, assignment/secondment, deployment, term and/or indeterminate) within Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada and Indigenous Services Canada.

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree in nursing from a recognized post-secondary institution.*

*Recognized post-secondary institution: Public or private institution that has been given authority to grant degrees, diplomas, and other credentials by a public or private act of a provincial/territorial legislature or through a government-mandated quality assurance mechanism. For greater certainty, also included are institutions authorized to grant specific academic credentials for specific academic programs.

Degree equivalency

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
Eligibility for registration as a registered nurse in a province or territory of Canada

EXPERIENCE
Recent experience within the last five (5) years of at least two (2) years working as a Registered Nurse (RN) providing direct nursing services to clients

Conditions of employment

Reliability Security Clearance;

Valid driver's licence or personal mobility to a degree normally associated with the possession of a driver's license;

Willingness and ability to travel on a daily basis from office setting to one of five First Nations community health centres and/or homes, including transportation and or carrying of nursing bags and supplies;

May be required to be temporarily reassigned to other communities as operationally required;

Willingness and ability to complete mandatory education/training relevant to the position; and

A valid license to practice nursing in the province of Ontario with a CNO designation of entitled to practice.
