The work term will be from October 1, 2020 to October 1, 2024. It is expected that the student will work 20 hours per week.
$25.94 to $33.58 per hour (salary will be determined by the student’s education and relevant experience.)

Duties

The successful candidate will need to work effectively as a team member in laboratory, greenhouse, and field settings to characterize necrotrophic effectors, and sources of resistance to the tan spot pathogen.

Currently enrolled in a PhD program with specialization in plant pathology at the University of Alberta.

Degree equivalency

Experience working with fungal plant pathogen such as tan spot.
Experience in basic pathology and molecular lab methodology.

*In the context of student recruitment in the Federal Public Service, the experience can be acquired through the studies, work experience, or volunteer activities.
