Intent of the process

Indeterminate full-time position

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives

Degree equivalency

*Significant experience in working with community partners, youth or “at risk” populations, and Indigenous communities
*Significant experience means performance of duties for approximately 3 years

Experience using office technology and computer software such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel

Experience in coordinating and implementing Crime Prevention Initiatives

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post secondary institution in one of the following fields: education, child and youth development, social sciences, humanities, community development, or justice studies or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience

Degree equivalency

Experience in public speaking

Experience in implementing community-based programs or initiatives or strategies targeting “at risk” populations

Experience networking and developing relationships with community partners

Willing and able to travel via commercial or government services when required

Willing and able to work some evenings and week-ends

When submitting an application to this selection process, you will be prompted to answer screening questions concerning the essential education and experience qualifications. Lack of examples and details will result in your application being rejected as the Assessment Board will have insufficient information to determine if the requirement is met

You may be assessed using one or more of the following tools: standardized tests, written exams, interview, simulation exercise, reference check, and other assessment tools

Must be willing and able to relocate and/or work in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan

Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
