Intent of the process

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

A pool of qualified candidates will be created and may be used to staff positions with various tenures.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Secondary School Diploma or an acceptable combination of education, experience and/or training

Degree equivalency

Experience in using various word processing/spreadsheet software such as MS Word and Excel

Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume or multi-tasking environment with a focus on customer service

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

A Bachelor's degree from a recognized post secondary institution in a field relevant to the position

A diploma or certification from recognized post secondary institution with a specialization related to acquisitions/procurement

Accreditation (or Enrollment) in a formal Procurement program. (speak to level of completion in enrollment)

Degree equivalency

Experience in the purchasing of goods and/or services to ensure best value within a business environment

Experience in providing procurement and/or contracting services relating to any of the following: assessing requirements and/or issuing contracts and/or managing contracts

Experience in providing support to those procuring goods and services. This could include activities related to purchasing goods or services for an organization, writing specifications, contract administration, negotiation process with suppliers, etc

Experience using a Procurement-Financial Management System (such as SAP, Oracle)
