Positions are located at 73 Leikin Drive, Ottawa, Ontario.
The immediate need is to staff two positions on an indeterminate basis, with various linguistic profiles and an RCMP secret security clearance.
A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

A secondary school diploma or employer approved alternative.
E1. Experience in the interpretation of Treasury Board Policy on Government Security, departmental or corporate security policies and related directives and standards, and in the provision of guidance and advice to clients on the application of physical security related requirements.
E2. Experience in the planning, conduct and reporting of facility inspections, vulnerability assessments or threat and risk assessments, and implementation of controls, as they relate to physical security.
Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute in Security Management, Architecture or Civil Engineering technology, Mechanical or Electronic Technology, Property Management, or other specialty programs relevant to the position.
Willingness and ability to work extended hours, as required.
Willingness and ability to travel in all areas of Canada and abroad.
Willingness and ability to work in disagreeable conditions such as inclement weather conditions, exposure to dust, dirt, noxious fumes, vibrations and biohazards.
Willingness and ability to climb ladders and to work at height.
Willingness and ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment.

Secret security clearance - All applicants for positions within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will be subject to a thorough security clearance process which includes an interview wherein questions may include (but not limited to), reference checks, previous employment, on-line activities, credit checks, alcohol and/or drug use.
