This process will initially be used to staff one position on an indeterminate basis. A qualified pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions on an indeterminate, term or acting basis.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.*
*Proof of education will be required prior to appointment.
- Experience in receiving and responding to enquiries or complaints.
- Experience in the provision of administrative support services including three of the following: data entry, preparing correspondence, ordering office supplies, filing, or processing mail
- Experience in using computer applications including two of the following: databases, email, spreadsheets, and word processing.
Successful completion of secondary school education.
- Experience transcribing statements from audio cassettes or digital media.
- Experience working in a law enforcement environment.
- Training and/or experience in providing financial support services such as the collection and recording of monies received, handling petty cash funds, verifying supplier invoices, preparing invoices.
- Experience in maintaining a law enforcement database such as: Police Reporting Occurrence System (PROS) or Canadian Police Information (CPIC).
- Experience in hyperlinking. (Hyperlinking includes creating and using electronic links within a computer document providing direct access from one distinctively marked place in a document to another in the same or a different document).
- Willing and able to work in a busy police environment, including exposure to unsettling and/or graphic material.
- Willingness and ability to work shift work.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime, as required.
- Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s licence or have personal mobility to the degree normally associated with a driver's licence.
