The positions are located at 1426 St. Joseph Boulevard, Orleans, Ontario.
The immediate need is to staff two positions on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB and English Essential and an RCMP Top Secret security clearance.
A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
Notes:
1.Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group.
2.It is the recognized educational institution (e.g. community college, CÉGEP or university) that determines if the courses taken by a candidate correspond to two years of a post-secondary program at the institution.
3.At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum post-secondary education stated above. Whenever the minimum education is met using this alternative, it is met for the specific position only and must be re-assessed for other positions for which this alternative has been specified by the manager.
Experience in the design, development, coding and debugging of software targeted for use on at least two (2) different operating system platforms, such as Windows, Linux, MacOS/OS X, Unix, ChromeOS, iOS, Android or BlackBerry OS
Experience designing and writing software tools in high- or low-level programming languages such as assembly language, C, C++, Objective-C, C#, Java, Go, Python, OpenCL/Cuda
Experience researching and deciphering the design or operation of firmware or software for the purposes of understanding functionality that is undocumented or weakly documented
A degree from a recognized post secondary institution in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
Experience performing digital forensic analysis and creating related analysis report(s)
Experience creating tools using scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Ruby, Powershell or Unix/Linux shell scripting
Experience developing software tools that employ a database engine or interface with a database management system
Experience developing usage guides or training materials
Various language requirements
