We are recruiting experienced nurses to fill various positions available in remote and/or isolated First Nations communities in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and Quebec.

Indigenous Services Canada's nurses deliver comprehensive and community health nursing services to remote and/or isolated First Nations communities within Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and Quebec. They provide in-depth nursing knowledge, skills, clinical expertise and advanced judgment through consultation, clinical practice, leadership, and facilitate knowledge transfer through health promotion and disease prevention.

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
Registration as a registered nurse (RN) in the province where the positon is located.
EXPERIENCE
Experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Canada in the last 5 years in any combination of the following three areas:
i. Public Health
ii. Health Promotion/Disease Prevention
iii. Communicable Disease Control

Reliability Status security clearance
i) PRE-PLACEMENT: Category 1 health evaluation + COVID-19 self-screening questionnaire
ii) PERIODIC: Category 3 health evaluation according to the schedule outlined in the Occupational Health Evaluation Standard for “First Nations and Inuit Health Branch Nurses Assigned to Isolated Posts in Northern First Nations Communities”
iii) For persons proposed for relocation to an isolated post/remote location and who have dependents: a valid Category 1 medical clearance for their dependent(s) in accordance with section 4.2 of the Isolated Post and Government Housing Directive and Appendix A of the Occupational Health Evaluation Standard Schedule
iv) For persons proposed for relocation to an isolated post/remote location and who have dependents: consent to their dependent(s) to undertake a Category 1 periodic health evaluation in accordance with Appendix A of the Occupational Health Evaluation Standard Schedule
Current valid registration as a registered nurse (RN) and a member in good standing in the province where the position is located
