The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) is a federal department responsible to ensure the integrity and marketability of grain for the domestic and international grain trade, from producer to global customer.
The CGC is a significant part of Canada’s dynamic and diverse agricultural sector. We regulate grain handling in Canada, set grain standards and conduct research on grain. The initial appointment from this pool will be for an indeterminate position.
The pool may be created to staff similar positions with various linguistic profiles and tenures (indeterminate, specified term, acting, deployment, secondment).

Education:
Successful completion of two years of a post-secondary program with acceptable specialization in library/archival work, social science, statistics or a law-related field OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience*.
*Note: An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience is defined as a minimum of 2 years in a library setting within the last 5 years.
Experience:
- Experience in conducting research through a variety of information resources in a business environment.
- Experience in policies, practices and procedures regarding library cataloguing.
- Experience in providing training, information, advice and/or guidance relating to Library and/or Information Management in a business environment.
- Experience in using Microsoft Office applications and an Integrated Library System (ILS).

- Experience in providing training, information, advice and/or guidance relating to Library and/or Information Management in an agriculture related environment.
