This process will be used to staff positions at the CR-04 group and level within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police with employment tenures, language requirements, security requirements, conditions of employment and work locations that will vary depending on the needs of the positions being staffed.
Job offers resulting from this process will be for either PERMANENT, SPECIFIED PERIOD (TERM) or CASUAL EMPLOYMENT.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Recent* experience in using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Recent is defined as experience obtained in the last five (5) years.

This doesn't mean that you must possess the qualifications, but these criteria may be a deciding factor in choosing the persons to be appointed. ASSESSMENT:
Depending on the needs of the organization, a random selection may be used at any time during the process to identify which applicants will be assessed.
Candidates must meet all the essential qualifications to be appointed to a position.
Should your responses to the screening questions contain insufficient details to demonstrate that you meet the screening criteria, your application may not be given further consideration in this process. Candidates will not be solicited for incomplete or possible missing information.
You may be assessed using a variety of assessment tools, such as, but not limited to standardized tests, written exams, interviews, simulation exercises, reference checks, recent and past performance evaluations, self-assessments, candidate achievement record, case studies, etc.
Please note that achieving the pass mark on any of the assessments used does not mean you will move forward in the selection process. Management may decide to use a score that is higher than the pass mark on any of the evaluations used throughout the selection process. Management may also decide to use a top-down selection at any stage of the process.
Management may choose to invoke an asset(s) at any point of the process.
Please note that your overall conduct during your communications, including e-mail correspondence, throughout the entire process may be used in the assessment of qualifications and competencies.

LEAVE/ABSENCES DURING THE SELECTION PROCESS:
It is the responsibility of the candidate to notify the Departmental contact of any pre-approved leave throughout the duration of the process in order to facilitate scheduling of evaluations. One alternate date will be possible only if requested for the following reasons:
1. Medical reasons with doctor's certificate,
2. Death in your immediate family,
3. Confirmation of pre-approved travel plans or training plans (made before the advertisement posting date),
4. Religious reasons, or
5. Participation in an assessment for another selection process.
OFFICIAL LANGUAGES:
