The intent of this process is to staff an indeterminate (permanent) position in Moncton, NB.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff identical or similar positions within Transport Canada in other locations, as indicated on the poster. These positions may be staffed on an indeterminate basis (which could include deployments for employees that are already employed at level) or temporary basis (specified period, acting, assignment or secondment).

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
• Possession of a valid Aviation Document Booklet
• Possession of a valid Category 1 Aviation Medical
• Possession of a Canadian Airline Transport Pilot Licence - AEROPLANE CATEGORY with a Group 1 Instrument Rating that meets all applicable currency requirements to be able to exercise the privileges of the licence.
• Possession of a Restricted Radio-Telephone Operator Certificate (endorsed Aeronautical)
OR
• Possession of a valid Aviation Document Booklet
• Possession of a valid Category 1 Aviation Medical
• Possession of a Canadian Commercial or Airline Transport Pilot Licence - HELICOPTER CATEGORY with a Group IV Instrument Rating that meets all applicable currency requirements to be able to exercise the privileges of the licence
• Possession of a Restricted Radio-Telephone Operator Certificate (endorsed Aeronautical)
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in the planning, coordination, management and/or execution of the delivery of aviation safety programs
- Experience in managing or supervising a team or workforce
- Recent experience (within the last 5 years) applying risk management concepts and principles
MINIMUM FLIGHT TIME:
• Total of 3,000 hours flight time, which includes 1,500 hours as pilot-in-command of which 500 hours is in multi-engine aeroplanes OR
• Total of 3,000 hours flight time, which includes 1,500 hours as pilot-in-command of which 500 hours is in multi-engine helicopters OR
• Total of 3,000 hours flight time, which includes 1,500 hours as pilot-in-command of which 500 hours is in single engine turbine powered aeroplane
ASSET EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in financial and human resources management
- Experience in dealing with sensitive issues and providing strategic advice and recommendations to senior management
- Experience in consulting, negotiating and establishing partnerships
