Intent of the process

A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions within the Department of Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) with various tenures (Indeterminate, specified period, acting, deployment, secondment, assignment), various language requirements and various security requirements.

IMPORTANT: Note that full-time teleworking from home where the candidate resides could be considered as an option with approval of the local Manager.

EDUCATION:
- Graduation with a degree* from a recognized post-secondary institution

*Degree: Unless it is otherwise specified (e.g. Master's degree), the term “degree” refers to a baccalaureate as established by educational authorities.

EXPERIENCE:
- *Significant experience in conducting all phases of internal and/or external audit engagements (i.e. planning, conducting, reporting).
- *Significant experience in providing strategic advice, briefings and written reports in an audit context, including audit reports to senior management (Director level and above).
- Experience in supervision or leading a team.
- *Significant experience in gathering and analyzing complex audit related information to develop and communicate recommendations.

*Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of the duties for a period of 3 years.

ASSET EDUCATION:
- A recognized professional accounting designation (i.e. CMA, CGA, CA, CPA).
- Institute of Internal Auditors Accreditation as a Quality Assessor for Internal Audit.
- A recognized internal audit certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP), Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA).
- Other relevant professional certification such as but not limited to project management, HR, security.

Degree equivalency

ASSET EXPERIENCE:
- Experience liaising with Central Agencies (i.e: Office of the Controller General, Office of the Auditor General, etc.).

- Experience in professional practices.

- Experience in data analytics.

- Experience in program evaluation, performance assessment.

- Experience in support services to an Audit Committee.

- Experience in developing an annual risk-based audit plan.

- Experience in following up on management action plans.

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS:
