Research Assistant/Data Entry - Research Affiliate Program

The student must be willing to work 5 hours/week from September to April and 20 hours/week from May to August.
$22.04 to $27.73 per hour (Salary will be determined by the student’s education and relevant experience.)

Duties

The candidate’s primary duties will be entering data from museum specimens into a database.

Work environment

The successful candidate will work at the AAFC ORDC, including the herbarium collection, molecular laboratories, and field sites in the area.

EDUCATION
Currently enrolled or in process of enrolling in a Master’s program in a recognize post-secondary academic institution with specialization in: Agriculture or Environmental Science.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
Experience * in biological museum collections.
Experience * conducting vegetation surveys.

*In the context of student recruitment in the Federal Public Service, the experience can be acquired through the studies, work experience, or volunteer activities.

Undergraduate training in population genetics, conservation biology.
