SCREENING QUESTIONS
It is not sufficient to only state that the qualification is met or to provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
At minimum, a candidate must meet at least one of the following qualifications. However, depending on the position being staffed, one or more of the qualifications may be required for that position and only candidates and persons with a priority entitlement who possess those qualifications will be considered. • Possession of a valid Aviation Document Booklet; AND
• Possession of a valid Category 1 Aviation Medical; AND
• Possession of a Canadian Airline Transport Pilot Licence - Aeroplane Category with a Group 1 Instrument Rating that meets all applicable currency requirements to be able to exercise the privileges of the licence; AND
• Possession of a Restricted Radio-Telephone Operator Certificate (endorsed Aeronautical).

MINIMUM FLIGHT TIME:

Total of 2,500 hours flight time, which includes 1,000 hours as pilot-in-command of which 500 hours is in multi-engine aeroplanes.

OR
Total of 3,000 hours flight time, which includes 1,500 hours as pilot-in-command of which 500 hours is in multi-engine aeroplanes.

Total of 3,000 hours flight time, which includes 1,500 hours as pilot-in-command of which 500 hours is in multi-engine helicopters.
OR
Total of 3,000 hours flight time, which includes 1,500 hours as pilot-in-command of which 500 hours is in single engine turbine powered aeroplanes.

Total of 3,000 hours flight time, which includes 1,500 hours as pilot-in-command that includes multi-engine turbo-jet transport aeroplanes of a maximum certified take-off gross weight of a minimum of 50,000 pounds.

EXPERIENCE
EX1 : Minimum of 3 years of experience acquired within the last 6 years, as a pilot with a Canadian Air Operator, Private Operator (CAR 604), Flight Training Unit or in the Canadian Military.
AED1 : Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
AED2 : Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized university with a specialization in aeronautical, mechanical or electrical engineering or computer sciences.
AED3 : Post-secondary education in an aviation or related program to the position.
Depending on the position being staffed, any of the following qualifications may also be deemed as an essential qualification and only candidates and persons with priority entitlement who possess those qualifications will be considered for that specific vacancy. Secret security clearance
Must hold a Canadian Airline Transport Pilot Licence that meets all applicable currency requirements to be able to exercise the privileges of the licence or a Canadian Commercial Pilot Licence - Helicopter Category with a Group IV Instrument Rating that meets all applicable currency requirements to be able to exercise the privileges of the licence, as applicable.

ASSESSMENT - GENERAL INFORMATION
Random selection, invoking asset qualifications may be used in conjunction with other volume management strategies that can be applied at any stage in the staffing process.
ASSESSMENT – TRAVEL EXPENSES
Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to evaluation purposes.
ASSESSMENT – REFERENCE CHECKS
Those selected for assessment should be prepared to provide the names and contact information of recent references (recent is defined as within the last 2 years):
References must be available, have an in-depth knowledge of your work/projects, and must be able to answer specific questions pertaining to your experience, achievements and strengths.
References that are not reachable and/or not available are lowering the candidates’ chances to be found fully qualified and be considered for appointment. When providing names of references, it is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure they are available to respond in a timely manner.
ASSESSMENT – RESCHEDULING
Rescheduling will only be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Supporting documentation will be required at the time of your request to be rescheduled.
Possible reasons for alternate assessment dates:
· Medical reason with doctor's certificate;
· Death in the immediate family;
· Professional obligation (proof required);
· Confirmation of pre-approved travel plans; or
· Religious reasons.

SALARY
After January 26, 2021 the salary range will be from $112,197 to $131,596.
After January 26, 2022 the salary range will be from $113,880 to $133,570.
