Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff two positions on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB and an RCMP Enhanced Reliability security clearance.

A pool of candidates will be established and used to staff positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

Information you must provide

Your résumé.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Extensive* recent** experience with a variety of firearms such as: rifles, pistols, revolvers, shotguns, military & police automatic firearms and commercial sporting firearms.
Experience with ammunition or ammunition handloading procedures.
Experience in researching and providing firearm technical information.

*Extensive: defined as the depth and breadth of experience acquired in the delivery of programs or services. Depth and breadth is defined as involving multiple issues, multiple partners/stakeholders and multiple impacts/risks.
**Recent: Experience acquired within approximately the past 5 years.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Experience using the Firearms Reference Table (FRT)
Experience using standard operating polices and quality assurance practices

Willingness and ability to work overtime as required
Successful completion of the Canadian Firearms SafetyCourse and the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course
Willingness and ability to handle firearms, as required, throughout their time in the position
