There is an immediate need to staff one (1) permanent position in North Bay, Ontario.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized university in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, structural engineering, or electrical engineering, or some other engineering specialty relevant to real property construction, operation, maintenance and repair.

Degree equivalency

Occupational Certification:
*Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position.

*In order to be considered ‘eligible’, you must hold an undergraduate degree from a Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) accredited program and you must be eligible to register in the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) Engineering Intern (EIT) Program. Note: An applicant who graduated from a non-CEAB school is eligible to enroll in the EIT program when they are either assigned a Confirmatory Examination Program (CEP) or have completed their Specific Examination Program (SEP).

Experience:
E1 - *Recent and significant experience working in a multidisciplinary design environment related to building infrastructure.
*Recent and significant is defined as at least five (5) years’ experience within the last seven (7) years

E2 - Experience in design assessment

E3- **Recent and significant experience managing multiple construction projects concurrently greater than $100K
**Recent is defined as at least three (3) years’ experience within the last five (5) years

E4- Experience developing Statements of Requirements/Statements of Work for construction consultant teams

E5 – Experience supervising

AQ1 – Project Management Professional Certification

Experience:
AQ2 - Experience working in a military environment.
AQ3- Experience working at the Department of National Defence
AQ4 - Experience working in a Municipal, Provincial or Federal Engineering environment.
AQ5 - Experience managing consultants.
AQ6 - Experience producing specifications using NMS (National Masters Specifications).
AQ7 – Experience with SAP software (e.g. DRMIS)

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS:

Operational Requirements:
• Willingness and ability to work overtime.
• Willingness and ability to travel for training requirements.

Conditions of employment

Secret security clearance

• Possession of a valid unrestricted Class “G” driver’s license issued by the Province of Ontario or provincial/territorial equivalent.
• Current and acceptable driver’s abstract
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain the DND 404 military driver’s license
