EDUCATION:
Candidates either must have a degree from a recognized school of occupational therapy or should be in their final year of study.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in providing occupational therapy services to adults.
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
Eligibility for acceptable registration or for a license to practice as a professional occupational therapist in a province or territory of Canada. *
*(Note: Eligibility for the above must be met upon appointment but not at point of application.)
EXPERIENCE:
Experience providing occupational therapy services to clients with psychiatric/mental health disorders
Experience providing occupational therapy services to clients with cognitive deficits, which may include brain injury, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder
Experience providing occupational therapy services to behaviourally challenged clients
Experience in providing Occupational Therapy services to clients with physical/medical health needs and providing assistive devices or equipment as needed.

KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of occupational therapy interventions and programs used in the treatment of neurological, mental or physical conditions.
ABILITIES:
Ability to plan, organize, supervise and evaluate an occupational therapy service.
Ability to communicate effectively orally.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
