Intent of the process

This is an anticipatory process.

This selection process may be used to create a pool of qualified candidates to staff similar positions with various linguistic requirements, security requirements, conditions of employment, work locations and/or tenures at the SG-SRE-07 group and level within Health Canada.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in microbiology, chemistry, mechanical engineering, pharmacy, food science, or some other specialty related to the position.

Notes: The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

Significant* experience leading the development of complex** policies, guidelines, business process improvements or quality assurance frameworks.
Significant* experience establishing working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Significant* experience providing complex** authoritative regulatory or technical advice to Senior Management***.
Experience developing, implementing or coordinating a regulatory program.

DEFINITIONS
*Significant experience is understood to mean having performed these duties on a sustained basis for two (2) years in the last three (3) years.
**Complex issues include criteria such as: national in scope; having many elements or dimensions; having significant public or media visibility; featuring significant involvement by partners or stakeholders, financially challenging, etc.
***Senior management means Director level and above.

EXPERIENCE:

Significant* experience working in a regulatory organization with particular responsibility for compliance and enforcement.
Experience in the development, implementation and delivery of policy, procedures, systems and resources related to the screening, review or analysis of documents or supporting information on regulated substances, products or activities.
Experience in actively contributing to the development of regulations.
Experience in project management or program management, or in coordinating science-based projects.
