Duties

The Technology Strategy, Risk and Performance Manager oversees and conducts research on drivers and trends in the IM/IT industry, develops an understanding of internal IT needs and opportunities, and develops OSFI’s IM/IT strategic directions, plans and business cases, which are aligned with the strategic directions of the corporation in collaboration with Director, Strategic Management.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:
- A degree from a post-secondary institution; specializing in business, commerce, economics, accounting, mathematics, computer science, engineering or another relevant field OR a combination of education, experience and training

Degree equivalency

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in implementation and management of IM/IT Service Management practices
- Experience in strategic, business, budget, and operational IM/IT planning within an organization
- Experience in planning and reporting IM/IT metrics for corporate performance
- Experience in research and analysis, benchmarking, and tracking IM/IT trends for an organisation
- Experience in aligning IM/IT risk management objectives with organizational objectives and strategic direction
- Experience in coaching, managing and/or leading teams of people

ASSET EDUCATION:

You may be required to meet a combination of any of these asset experience criteria:

ASSET EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working in a cloud environment and familiarity with Cloud Brokering Services
- Experience in leading, managing, and tracking progress of a multi-year IM/IT planning program/cycle for an organization
- Experience in managing program activities and/or projects within an IM/IT environment
- Experience in providing IM/IT guidance, advice and recommendations to senior management or executive levels on risk management

OSFI's Ottawa location is downtown with easy access to shopping, restaurants, gyms, financial institutions and more. The building is less than a five minute walk from LRT and STO stops.

As a Separate Agency, the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) appoints employees in accordance with the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA). OSFI is named in Schedule V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) and it offers the same pension and benefits plans as the core Federal Public Service. In addition to this, OSFI employees obtain a minimum of 4 weeks of vacation leave per year, earn a competitive salary, and are eligible for an annual performance bonus.
