Assessment accommodation

When you apply to this selection process, you are not applying for a specific job, but to an inventory for future vacancies. As positions become available, applicants who meet the qualifications may be contacted for further assessment.

Applicants included in the inventory may be pulled based on work location preference and screening criteria. Management can decide to access applications at any point, so please ensure you submit your application as soon as possible.

The essential qualifications indicated below will be assessed following each inventory pull.

There is no re-evaluation period for this inventory. Candidates have the option of updating their application in the inventory as long as they have not been eliminated at the screening or interview stage.

The inventory will be updated every 120 days. You will receive a notice in your applicant account 7 days before the end of your active period to determine whether or not you wish to keep being considered for an additional 120 days.

Intent of the process

ANTICIPATORY STAFFING
A pool of partially qualified candidates will be established through this process and will be used to staff identical or similar positions with various language and/or security requirements across Canada. All federal organizations listed in Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act may use this selection process to appoint a candidate to its organization in an identical or similar position. These positions may be staffed on an indeterminate (appointment or deployment) or temporary basis (term, acting, assignment or secondment).

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
1. Experience shipping and receiving goods
2. Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center
3. Experience using warehouse management software or a computerized inventory system

The following will be applied / assessed at a later date (essential for the job)

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

• Must wear CSA approved safety footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Willing and able to perform physical tasks such as, but not limited to, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, stooping, crouching, etc.
• Willing and able to be exposed to dust, gas fumes from vehicles, fumes from chemicals and to all weather conditions when working outdoors
• Willing and able to work in a noisy warehouse environment
• Willing and able to work indoors and/or outdoors and in varying weather conditions
• Willing and able to lift heavy objects up to 15 kg (33 lbs)

If you are already working for the Public Service, please clearly identify your substantive group and level, your employment status, and PRI on your application. An assignment or an acting appointment is a temporary resourcing option. The approval of your substantive supervisor may/will be required before an offer can be made.
