You MUST clearly demonstrate in writing how you meet the Essential Education, and Experience requirements. Provide examples and describe the work/duties you have performed. Failure to do so may result in your application not being considered further during the screening process.

Intent of the process

A qualified group of candidates may be identified and may be used to staff future vacancies (including similar positions, on a temporary, acting or permanent basis, on a casual basis, at full or part time hours).

Once established, the qualified pool will be valid for a period of one year and may be extended.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Education:
A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.

Notes:
The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Acceptable combination refers to any two of the following:
Education: completion of two years of secondary school.
Training: completion of courses related to motor vehicle repair, budgeting, material or fleet management.
Experience: approximately two years’ experience working in a Fleet Management setting.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
EX1: Experience in budget management.
EX2: Experience in materiel management.
EX3: Experience in providing advice to clients.
EX4: Experience supervising a team of 4 or more employees.
EX5: Experience in the use of Microsoft Word.
EX6: Experience in the use of Microsoft Excel.

AEX3: Experience in metal-cutting techniques.
AEX4: Experience planning and coordinating a budget.
