The work will involve planning and preparing data collections, conducting field surveys and farm visits, modeling, processing and analyzing data, and writing reports and scientific papers.
This work is part of a research program on the analysis of alternative systems of polyculture/mixed-livestock production. In particular, the internship is part of a life cycle analysis project. The intern will be based at the Sherbrooke Research and Development Centre (Quebec). The student will be supervised by a researcher and a research assistant.

The applicant must possess a Master’s degree in biology from a recognized university with a specialization in agronomy, animal or plant sciences, or agroecology
AND be currently enrolled or eligible to enroll in a Ph.D. program with a specialization in plant science.
Experience using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
Experience using statistical software (e.g. SAS, R)
Experience conducting research experiments in agriculture.
Experience collecting and analyzing data

Reliability Status security clearance - Known allergies must be controlled through the use of personal protective equipment and/or medication and must not impinge upon duties to be performed.
The candidate must be able to work in contact with farm animals and in agricultural conditions that may cause allergic reactions (hay fever).
