The immediate need is to staff one position on a temporary basis, and to create a pool for an anticipatory indeterminate position. A pool of qualified candidates may be created and may be used to staff similar positions

Your résumé.
Successful completion of a Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from a recognized school of pharmacy
Registered as a pharmacist in a province or territory of Canada
Experience in researching various aspects of drugs, including but not limited to, prescribing information, indications, contraindications and presenting the information to practitioners or patients, in an applicable, understandable format/language
Experience in responding to enquiries on drug information, including making recommendations
Experience in leading or working in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Experience in using a wide range of software such as MS Office Suite (e.g. Word) and Internet Explorer (or equivalent)

Knowledge of Canadian regulatory frameworks for accessing unlicensed drugs and medical devices

Experience working within the Canadian Armed Forces Health Services
Recent* experience briefing senior management, Director level or above.
Definition: * Recent experience is defined as experience within the last five years
Experience in interacting with drug and medical product suppliers/manufacturers
Experience in accessing unlicensed drugs in Canada
Experience in accessing unlicensed medical devices in Canada
Experience working with other federal government departments
Experience in maintaining inventory and producing reports used in pharmacy and material management
Secret security clearance
Maintain active registration, in good standing, as a pharmacist
Willing and able to travel within and outside Canada
Willing and able to work occasional overtime on short notice, as required
