A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

1. Recent* experience in writing and/or editing documents in French.

2. Recent* experience in comparing translated texts from English to French.

3. Recent* experience in providing linguistic advice to clients.

* Recent experience means experience gained over a period of at least three (3) years within the last five (5) years.

ASSET EDUCATION

A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field related to communications, journalism, public relations, law, English or French literature, translation/editing/revision.

Degree equivalency

ASSET EXPERIENCE

AE1.Experience in editing decisions, rulings and/or communication materials (e.g. Web content, internal or external correspondence, presentations).

AE2. Experience in editing English texts and in the comparative editing of texts that have been translated to English.

AE3. Experience working in a judicial, quasi-judicial or legal environment (for example, a tribunal, court, commission, board, or law or notary firm.).

AE4. Experience of legal terminology research.

AE5. Experience supervising or managing employees.
