IRCC’s Transformation Digital Solutions Sector (TDSS) is devoted to transforming and modernizing the way IRCC does business and interacts with clients —from processes, to the tools, to the culture. EDUCATION
Degree from a recognized university;
OR
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program with a minimum of five years’ experience working in a management role.
Note:
1. Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group.
EXPERIENCE
EXP1. Recent* and significant** experience in leading departmental information management or information technology (IM/IT) projects.
EXP2. Recent* and Significant** Experience in financial management of budgets, costs and resources estimation, expenditure projections and tracking
EXP3. Recent* and Significant** experience in human resources management: managing teams comprised of employees and contractors, including the development of HR strategies, staffing plans and performance management
EXP4. Significant** experience in providing strategic advice, both in writing and orally, to senior management at the Director (or private-sector equivalent) in relation to IM/IT services or solutions
EXP.5 Experience in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Central Agencies, to advance business priorities and objectives.
*Recent is defined as experience acquired within the last five (5) years.
**Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience associated with having performed a broad range of complex activities related to this task, which are normally acquired over three (3) years.

Depending on the position being staff, we might have positions with various language requirements.

ASSETS QUALIFICATIONS
AEXP1. Experience defining costs, timelines, and business value for an IM/IT service proposal or business case to address a business requirement.
AEXP2. Experience in planning and directing the development and implementation of an IT application development environment (e.g. standards, methodologies, processes, etc.)
AEXP3. Experience in planning and directing the development and implementation of enterprise-wide IM/IT systems (e.g. custom development and integration of commercial-off-the-shelf software)
AEXP4. Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, etc.)
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Willing and able to work overtime.
Willing and able to travel.
