Assessment accommodation

When applying, candidates will have to answer preselection questions for the education and experience criteria indicated in the essential qualifications and asset qualifications sections. It is not suffisant to simply state that you meet the requirement or list the responsibilities. Applicants must demonstrate how they meet these requirements through CLEAR AND SPECIFIC EXAMPLES. It is important to provide enough information for the selection committee to be able to assess the level and extent of the experience. The Resumé will only be used as a secondary source to validate the experience.

For each experience criterion, you will have to provide, in 500 words maximum, information such as: period when the experience was acquired, in which organization(s) as well as specific details relating to the tasks or projects, demonstrating how the experience was acquired.

Applications which do not clearly demonstrate compliance with the preselection criteria will not be considered.

Intent of the process

This process is anticipatory and it aims to build a pool of qualified candidates to fill positions when needs arise. This pool could also be used to fill similar positions and/or with various requirements (linguistic profiles, security, tenures).

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
• Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.

NOTE : The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE: You must answer YES to each of these essential experiences to be able to submit your application.

• Moderate experience* in project or program evaluation or performance measurement

• Moderate experience* in the synthesis and analysis of qualitative or quantitative socio-economic data

• Experience in writing documents such as reports, briefing or planning documents

* Moderate experience is defined by the extent, depth and complexity of responsibilities normally associated with performing such tasks over a period of approximately 1 year.

• Work experience in a federal department or agency

• Experience in conducting project or program evaluation or performance measurement in a science-based organization

• efficiency indicators Experience in assessing project or program resource efficiency or in designing

• Experience in preparing Statements of Work for contracts or managing contracts

• Experience in formulating strategic advice or recommendations to management
