A secondary school diploma* or employer-approved alternatives.

Degree equivalency

Recent and significant* experience conducting police investigations, including interviews.
*Recent and significant experience is defined as experience associated with having performed a broad range of related activities which could normally be acquired over a period of approximately 5 years within the past 10 years.

Recent and significant* experience as an operational police officer or similar skills and abilities gained in a law enforcement environment.
*Recent and significant experience is defined as experience associated with having performed a broad range of related activities which could normally be acquired over a period of approximately 5 years within the past 10 years.

Recent and significant* experience organizing investigative material and drafting investigation reports

The successful applicant will have to obtain an RCMP security clearance. The process also requires a Security/Reliability Interview, a field investigation in matters of credit/finances, education, employment, references, etc.

Must be willing and able to relocate and/or work in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Preference

Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
