What is an inventory?

Where are the work locations?

The Innovation, Information and Technology Branch (IITB) is a national organization, with a wide variety of work that can be performed regardless of geographic location. However, certain positions may require a physical presence at a specific location.

Most positions are located in Gatineau, Quebec.

The Innovation, Information and Technology Branch (IITB) is hiring.

As part of IITB, you will help shape the department’s Information Technology (IT) projects, along with technology selection and delivery, ensuring they follow best practices from the onset.

YOUR ROLE

As an IM/IT Programmer Analyst you play a key role in designing and developing solutions on multiple platforms for Canadians to use the services throughout their lifespan. The results of your work play an important role in helping Canadians by supporting the development and delivery of key social and labour market policies and programs.

The position is responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of application systems; participating in quality assurance activities; and producing programming specifications, writing new or modifying existing code and producing technical documentation.

Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
