Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one bilingual imperative CBC/CBC position on an indeterminate basis.

A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions within Natural Resources Canada with various tenures, various linguistic requirements and profile, various security requirements, various conditions of employment and for various locations.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.

Degree equivalency

Recent* and significant** experience in providing advice and recommendations to management on situations related to the Labour Relations discipline.
Experience in the interpretation of laws, policies and collective agreements related to the Labour Relations discipline.
Experience writing information documents for senior management***, such as briefing notes, emails and presentations.

*Recent experience is defined as acquired in the last five (5) years.
** Significant is defined as having the depth, breadth and complexity of experience associated with the performance of a wide variety of duties for approximately 2 years.
*** Senior management is defined as Director level or more.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Experience in dealing with employees’ recourses.
Recent* experience in managing harassment or work place violence complaints.
Experience in coordinating Labour Management Consultation meetings.

*Recent experience is defined as acquired in the last five (5) years.
