EDUCATION
ED: Graduation with a degree from a recognized university in aeronautical engineering, aerospace engineering, or an engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
OR
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
OC: Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position.
EXPERIENCE
EX1: Significant* experience in the design, development, testing, in-service support or certification of aeronautical products.
EX2: Experience in the identification, evaluation and rectification of in-service airworthiness problems.
EX3: Experience in the design approval of aeronautical products.
EX4: 5 or more years of engineering experience whilst progressively acquiring increased responsibilities related to engineering in the design, development, testing, or certification of Aircraft Structures (AWM 523/525/527/529) or Loads and Structural Dynamics of Aircraft Structures (AWM 523/525/527/529).
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE
AEX1: Experience in the application of fatigue or damage tolerance analysis methods to aircraft structures.
AEX2: Experience in aircraft interiors certification.
AEX3: Experience in aircraft maintenance and repair.
English essential

KNOWLEDGE
K1: Knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR 521) and its implementation.
ABILITIES
A1: Ability to communicate effectively in writing
A2: Ability to communicate effectively orally
A3: Ability to design structural repairs or modifications to aircraft including writing technical reports showing compliance to applicable airworthiness requirements.

• Willing and able to travel within North America
• Willing and able to work overtime on short notice during the week or weekends
• Working in various positions such as standing, kneeling, lying and sitting on aircraft, as well as crawling in confined spaces.
