(STREAM 1 - Officer, Business Services)
1. Experience providing financial support services in at least one of the following areas: processing invoices, journal vouchers, acquisition card reconciliations, Other Government Department (OGD) payments, verifying travel requests and expenses for management approval.

(STREAM 2 - Administrative Coordinator)
2. Experience providing administrative services in a *senior management office environment such as, calendar management, travel arrangements, organizing meetings or events.

*senior management is defined as director level and above.

ASSESSMENT

An interview, a test/exam and reference checks may be administered.

The following standardized tests will be used:
1- Situational Judgment Test for Professionals (SJT-PRO)
2- Situational Judgment Test (SJT)

Please note that asset qualifications, top-down and/or random selection may be used to identify which applications will be given further consideration.

Candidates must meet the essential qualifications to be appointed to a position.
The essential qualifications that are listed in the statement of merit criteria are mandatory. A pass mark will be established for each. Applicants may be appointed to the position even though he/she does not meet any or all of the asset qualifications. However, meeting these criteria is desirable and may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed. In the event that there are as many applicants who meet the essential qualifications as there are vacancies, the manager may decide not to assess some or all of the asset qualifications.

Top-down ranking can be used at any stage of the assessment process where only the top scoring candidates will be invited to the next stage of the assessment. Please note that different pass marks and cut-off scores can be used at various stages of the assessment process. Candidates who attain the pass mark might not be further considered in the process if they do not achieve the cut-off score.

Please note that the assessment will only be rescheduled under exceptional circumstances:
•Illness (a medical certificate will be required);
•Emergency circumstances (verifiable);
•Operational requirements (must be confirmed in writing by your director);
•Pre-approved annual leave (must be confirmed in writing by your supervisor).

Failure to attend the assessment without good reason will be construed as a withdrawal from the appointment process.

You must provide proof of your education credentials.

Candidates with foreign education credentials are required to provide proof of Canadian equivalency. Any applicable fees are the responsibility of the candidate.

Foreign certificates and/or diplomas must be assessed against Canadian education standards. The federal public service will accept any Foreign Educational Credentials as long as they are deemed comparable to Canadian standards, determined by a recognized credential assessment service.
