Intent of the process

There is an immediate need to staff two (2) permanent positions in Petawawa, Ontario.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions in various locations.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
ED 1 - Completion of post-secondary education in Geomatics Information System (GIS) Technology or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or work experience

Degree equivalency

Experience:
EX 1 - * Recent experience in creating, maintaining, and editing GIS data, and geographic databases
EX 2 - * Recent experience using Microsoft Office software and GIS software
EX3 - * Recent experience using survey equipment and applicable software

*Recent is defined as within the past three (3) years

The following will be applied / assessed at a later date (essential for the job)

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

Conditions of Employment:
COE 1 – Possession of a valid unrestricted class “G” driver’s license issued by the province of Ontario or provincial/territorial equivalent
COE 2 – Eligibility and willingness to obtain the DND 404 military driver’s licence
COE 3 – Must be willing to wear and/or utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) in compliance with safety regulations
The following may be required if candidate does not already possess a DND 404:
COE 4- A current and acceptable driver’s abstract
