- Provides Occupational Therapy advice and consultation services to VAC staff and Veterans.
- Occasionally conducts interviews and assessments with clients.
- Coordinates and provides quality assurance of external Occupational Therapy services.
- Analyzes clinical information from Occupational Therapy assessments/reports and external health providers to identify clients’ functional needs and make recommendations.
- Uses Microsoft application tools, and client database systems to input, retrieve and manipulate data to make decision and complete Occupational Therapy administrative duties.

1- The intent of the process is to staff positions with various tenures such as Indeterminate, Terms and Casuals. We are looking for committed people interested in an Occupational Therapist position that will have the ultimate goal of serving Veterans.
2- A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions within the Department with various language requirements (English Essential, Bilingual Imperative CCC/CCC, CCB/CCB) and different security requirements.

Education:
Eligibility for acceptable registration or for a license to practice as a professional occupational therapist in a province or territory of Canada.
*Current valid registration as a professional occupational therapist and a letter of good standing with a regulatory body in the province where the position is located.
Experience:
A minimum of three years of experience, within the last five years, in providing occupational therapy and/or case management services to clients.
Experience working in an interdisciplinary team environment.
Experience with the use of online client documentation systems software and Microsoft Office application.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
Experience working with members of the Canadian Armed Forces and-or Veterans.
Significant * clinical experience working with adults with mental health conditions.
* Significant is defined as the depth and breadth normally associated with approximately 1.5 years of experience.
Significant* clinical experience working with adults with chronic pain problems.

One-year experience providing home safety assessments and/or adaptive equipment to clients.
