Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff two positions in Winnipeg, MB and one position in Saskatoon, SK on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of English Essential and an RCMP Enhanced Reliability security clearance

A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in The Pas (MB), Cranberry Portage (MB), Brandon (MB), Winnipeg (MB), Saskatoon (SK), Prince Albert (SK), Regina (SK) and Iqualuit (NU) on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment prior to May 21, 2020 (deeming date), the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Furthermore, CM staffing transactions resulting from this process will be administered in accordance with the Onboarding Transition Phase until deeming day.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

A secondary School Diploma or employer-approved alternatives

Degree equivalency

Experience developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders/partners
Experience supervising personnel which includes dealing with employee conflict, performance management, training
Experience performing quality management on operational processes
Experience interpreting and applying federal or provincial legislation or regulations
Experience reviewing official documents for quality management such as: briefing notes, reports, legal document, etc.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Experience in dealing with Courts and Court Officials and providing court testimony
Experience conducting investigations related to the Firearms Act/Regulations or the Criminal Code of Canada
Experience identifying and handling firearms

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance - RCMP Enhanced Reliabilty security

Successful completion of the Canadian Firearms Safety Course and the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course
Must be able to travel to and work in remote, rugged terrain, and other locations as required
Must be able to work overtime and variable hours as required.
Must be able to handle firearms, as required, throughout their time in the position
Must be able to lift and carry 25 KG, as required, throughout their time in the position
Must be able to work in a police environment, including possible exposure to unsettling and/or graphic material
Possession of a valid driver's licence. (Must provide proof)
