Intent of the process

There is an immediate need to staff one (1) permanent position in BORDEN, Ontario.

This staffing process may also be used to staff future vacancies, with varying tenures in various locations.

Education:
ED 1- Successful completion of two years secondary school education (Grade 10) or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience

Degree equivalency

The following will be applied / assessed at a later date (essential for the job)

Education:
AQ 1 - Successful completion of grade 12 Technical Math

Degree equivalency

Experience:
AQ2 – Experience in the maintenance or operations at a trades helper level, of steam or Hot Water Heating systems and/or related equipment

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

– Possession of a valid unrestricted Province of Ontario Class “G” or higher driver’s license
– A current and acceptable driver’s abstract
– Eligibility and willingness to obtain the DND 404 military driver’s licence
– Must be willing to wear and/or utilize PPE equipment in compliance with safety regulations
– Must provide own transportation for the purposes of training
– Must be willing to travel for extended periods during training
– Must be accepted and remain registered with the Ontario Ministry of Education and Training for the duration of the apprenticeship program
