Duties include performing experiments in the fields of molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, analyzing data and writing reports.
This position is for a graduate student in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology. The student will be enrolled in the graduate program of the department of Biology at the University of Western Ontario and will conduct part-time research at the AAFC Research Centre.

Experience with basic molecular biology and biochemistry techniques
English essential
Information on language requirements
Knowledge of DNA cloning techniques,
Knowledge of protein purification and analysis
Knowledge of plant transformation techniques
Interactive Communication
Planning and organizing
Initiative
Ability to extract protein from cells and tissues and to run protein gels.
Ability to genetically transform plants
Ability to keep a lab book with detailed notes.
