An inventory advertisement allows a continuous intake of applications, over as long a period as desired.Once a candidate has submitted their application it will stay active in the inventory (assuming it meets the essential screening criteria) for 180 days. At the end of that period, candidates will need to refresh their application to ensure it stays active in the inventory. 15 days prior to the end of the 180 day period,candidates will receive a notice to their applicant profile instructing them that their application will expire unless it is refreshed.Candidates are also able to withdraw their application from the inventory anytime they desire.
If you are found unsuccessful during any point of the process your application will not be considered again until 180 days has elapsed from the date of your elimination notification. After 180 days, you may submit a new application.
When submitting your application, you will have to answer questions regarding the education and experience requirements. You must clearly demonstrate with specific examples how you meet these requirements to allow the selection committee to assess the depth and breadth of experience in terms of qualifications sought. Information provided throughout your application must be supported in your resume. You do not need to provide a covering letter. Failure to provide this information in the requested format will result in your application being rejected.
Operation and maintenance of a waste water treatment facility and all related equipment which includes several vertical turbine pumps of various capacities, numerous chemical pumps, instrumentation and controllers and process computer, chlorine analyzers and chemical storage tanks, mechanical screen, air compressors, various hand tools and a small inventory of replacement parts for an institution of the Correctional Service of Canada.

CSC is responsible for managing institutions of various security levels and supervising offenders under conditional release in the community.

Education:
A secondary school diploma or a satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Occupational Certification:
Possession of a valid Wastewater Treatment Operator Level II (or higher) certification as recognized by the British Columbia Ministry of the Environment OR equivalent certification from another province in Canada.
Experience:
Experience operating and maintaining a Wastewater Treatment Facility
Experience in assessing and troubleshooting a variety of problems with complex mechanical, electrical, control and monitoring systems.
Experience in the ongoing maintenance and repair of equipment and related controls.
Possession of a valid fall protection certification.
Possession of a valid confined space certification.
Experience working in a correctional, industrial or institutional environment.
English essential
