The actual needs are to staff one (1) indeterminate position in Prescott and one (1) term position in Parry Sound. The needs for Quebec City are currently anticipatory.
As a result of this process, a pool of candidates will be created to fill similar positions with different language requirements, security requirements and durations within the Canadian Coast Guard and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans for various locations.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience related to the position.
EXPERIENCE:
• Recent and significant experience* in managing all warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, distribution, short and long-term storage, inventory control and disposition.
• Significant experience** using a computerized inventory control system for inventory management.
• Advanced experience in using the Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Significant experience ** of staff supervision.
* "Recent and significant experience" means one (1) year experience acquired in the past five (5) years.
** "Significant experience" means at least six (6) months experience acquired.

KNOWLEDGE:
• General knowledge of the federal government's legal framework (for example: laws, policies, directives) for materiel management, particularly inventory management and disposition of materiel.
• Knowledge of warehousing techniques to efficiently and effectively manage a regional warehouse.
• Knowledge of the principles of supply chain management.
ABILITIES:
• Ability to manage operational activities and workload with minimal supervision.
• Ability to analyze information to make recommendations.
• Ability to supervise employees.

EDUCATION:
• Post-secondary degree in a field related to the position.
