Intent of the process

The intent of this appointment process is to establish a fully assessed pool of qualified candidates. The results of this process may be used to staff same or similar positions for future vacancies of various tenures at Public Services and Procurement Canada in the Ontario Region.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Successful completion of a post-secondary program of study or an *acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
*Acceptable combination is defined as completion of a secondary school education together with 2 years of relevant work experience

Degree equivalency

Experience in research of Land survey records.

Experience in document management (scanning, cataloging, indexing and electronic archiving documents of record).

Experience in managing office records in a Land Surveying and Land Information Management capacity.

Experience in use of CAD software.

Experience in the preparation of summary reports on research and document retrieval requisitions.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Successful completion of a college or university program of study in Geomatics.

Degree equivalency

Member of a recognized technical association related to Land Surveying and Geomatics.

Experience in Geographic Information Management.

Experience in maintaining spatial data records for regional and national spatial database systems.

Experience in database and spreadsheet software.

Experience in MicroSurvey and ARCGIS software.

Field Survey experience and Area Measurement Field experience.

The following will be applied / assessed at a later date (essential for the job)

English essential

Knowledge of Land Surveying.

Knowledge of general principles of Land Information Management.

Knowledge of general principles of Land registration in Ontario.

Knowledge of modern geospatial technologies found within Geomatics.
