Kingston is a beautiful and historic city at the confluence of Lake Ontario, the St. Lawrence River and the Rideau Canal system, and is easily accessible from Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. Kingston offers a diverse array of local music, art, history, theatre and live entertainment that attracts thousands of tourists annually. Kingston has also been designated as a bilingual city by the Government of Ontario.
This position involves teaching French as a second language to RMC students, who must reach a functional level of bilingualism in order to graduate and subsequently serve as officers in the CAF.
Positions staffed from this process will be supporting the Royal Military College (RMC) of Canada, located in Kingston, Ontario. Candidates who are successful in this process must be located or willing to relocate to Kingston, Ontario.
As a result of this process, a pool of qualified candidates may be created to staff similar positions at the ED-LAT-01 group and level on an indeterminate or specified period in the department.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in education, linguistics or some other specialty relevant to the positions in the classification.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in teaching French as a Second Language.
Experience in Andragogy (teaching adults).

EDUCATION:
Master’s Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a relevant field.
