The International Joint Commission (IJC) is a highly respected and trusted independent binational advisor to the governments of Canada and the United States on matters related to the management and protection of hundreds of shared lakes and rivers.

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one indeterminate English essential position.
Anticipatory - A pool of partially qualified or fully qualified candidates may be established from this process and may be used to staff similar positions with varying language requirements and tenures.

EDUCATION
ED1- Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
EX1- Experience in organizing meetings or conferences.

EX2- *Extensive experience in preparing travel arrangements and completing the necessary expense claims.

EX3- **Recent experience in providing various administrative support services.

EX4- Experience in conducting basic research and providing advice.

EX5- Experience with administrative procedures related to Finance or Human Resources.

*Extensive is defined by a minimum of one year experience.
**Recent experience is defined as having been acquired in the last two (2) years.

KNOWLEDGE
K1- Knowledge of general administrative practices and procedures.
