EDUCATION

Streams 1 and 2:
Successful completion of two years of a post-secondary program with acceptable specialization in social science, statistics, library/archival work or a law-related field or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

Stream 1:
Significant experience* in providing linguistic advice in English.

Significant experience* in revising the English version of texts from a linguistic perspective, for example, the grammar, syntax and style.

Stream 2:
Significant experience* in providing linguistic advice in French.

Significant experience* in revising the French version of texts from a linguistic perspective, for example, the grammar, syntax and style.

Streams 1 and 2:
Significant experience* in comparing the English and French versions of texts to ensure their equivalence, to identify discrepancies and to suggest appropriate revisions.

* "Significant experience" means experience to the extent and depth of which would normally be acquired by accomplishing a vast array of complex and related activities over a period of four (4) years.

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.

As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring.
