Assessment accommodation

In addition to base salary, employees receive a pension, medical and dental care, minimum 15 days paid vacation days per year, 15 paid sick days per year.

Duties

Drives and operates cargo-carrying vehicles up to and including trucks of 5-ton capacity and more for heavy transportation operations including tractor-trailers.

Drives and operates passenger-carrying vehicles up to and including 60 passenger buses in the transportation of personnel and baggage.

Possession of a valid Class "AC" driver's license with a "Z" Airbrake endorsement issued by the Province of Ontario or provincial or territorial equivalent.

Experience in the operation of a tracker trailer.
Experience in the operation Highway Passenger Bus and/or School Bus.

Possess valid certification in one or more of the following:
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods
- Forklift Certification
- Other certificates related to the position

Experience in long haul driving.
Experience in the transportation of dangerous goods.
Experience in the operation of a highway cruiser.
Experience working in a DND/CAF transport unit in a military or civilian capacity.
Experience in operating Material Handling Equipment.

Reliability Status security clearance

Must be willing and able to work a shift schedule.
Must be willing and able to work overtime, possibly on short notice.
Willing and able to work indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
Possession of a valid Class "AC" driver's license with a "Z" Airbrake endorsement issued by the Province of Ontario or provincial or territorial equivalent.
Willing and able to obtain and retain a DND 404.
An acceptable driver's abstract provided within 30 days of request, dated no earlier than 30 days prior to the request. Acceptable as determined by management.
Willing and able to attend employer directed training.
Must wear CSA approved safety footwear and other personal protective equipment (PPE).
Lift and carry items weighing up to 25 kg in accordance with general safety practices as required.
Must complete and pass the required driving tests such as but not limited to air breaks, bus, truck and trailer.
