Intent of the process

The purpose of this staffing process is to staff a two (2) year term position in Fredericton, New Brunswick, one (1) indeterminate position in Edmonton, Alberta and one (1) indeterminate position in Victoria, British Columbia.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions at Natural Resources Canada with various tenures (determinate period or indeterminate), for various linguistic profiles, various security requirements, various conditions of employment and for various locations.

Information you must provide

Your résumé.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience

Degree equivalency

Experience providing shipping and receiving services, including material packaging and completing documentation, in support of a scientific research facility or other institution with a large variety of chemicals and laboratory equipment.
Experience processing incoming and outgoing mail, including courier services.
Experience issuing, tracking and disposing of assets using a computer based asset management system.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Experience in fleet management, operations and practices.
Experience using Microsoft Office.
Experience using Systems Applications Products (SAP).

Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
Knowledge of procedures, processes and regulations related to asset management.
Knowledge of safe material handling techniques and Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS).

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance - Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s licence
Able and willing to lift heavy items up to 25kg
Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the Transportation of Dangerous Goods certificate (TDG) in ground and air.
