EDUCATION
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics AND experience related to positions in the Financial Management Group; OR Eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation (i.e., CA, CMA, CGA, CPA)
EXPERIENCE
- Recent* and Significant** experience related to positions in finance, accounting or auditing.
- Recent* and Significant** experience in analyzing problems of a financial nature and recommending solutions to senior management and/or clients .
- Recent* and Significant** experience in the supervision of employees, including assigning work and evaluation performance of direct reports.
Recent* is defined as being normally within the last five (5) years.
Significant** is defined as the depth and breadth of your engagement in the performance of these duties for a period normally associated with two (2) years of experience.
EDUCATION (Asset)
- In possession of a professional accounting designation (CA,CMA, CGA, or CPA).
EXPERIENCE (Assets)
- Experience in assessing, implementing, or improving internal controls.
- Experience in managing an operational unit.
- Experience in developing financial procedures for financial and non-financial employees.
- Experience in delivering training and/or written or oral presentations to employees and senior management.
Bilingual - Imperative (CBC/CBC)
