Duties

You will be part of a dynamic team that will advance regulatory modernization and innovation for the Department, including advancing key priorities under centrally-led regulatory reviews. You will support the Portfolio’s contribution to the Government of Canada’s annual regulatory modernization bill to facilitate modernization of Health Canada’s Acts and regulations. You will support the development of policy documents in collaboration with branches, to improve regulatory practices in the department. You may represent the Division and prepare departmental position papers for meetings with Central Agencies, formulate policy positions and strategies, and contribute to the development of Cabinet documents. You will work with internal and external health partners.

EDUCATION

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with an acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics

Note: Candidate must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience. It is the responsibility of the candidate to demonstrate how the specialization requirement is met.
