Your application in this inventory will be active for 180 days. A notice that your application is about to expire will be posted to the My jobs menu of your account 10 days before the end of your active period. If you do not take action, your application will no longer be active and therefore no longer considered for this inventory. We are accepting applications until January 8, 2021 to create an inventory of qualified candidates. However, you should apply now! Applications will be pulled as positions are identified for staffing.

The retest period for re-assessment within the context of this selection process is 180 calendar days from the date of elimination at either the written exam, interview, or reference stage of the process. If, after having been eliminated, you resubmit an application to this process, before the retest period has elapsed, your application will not be considered.

EDUCATION
(Stream 1 and Stream 2):
Successful completion of a post-secondary diploma/degree in aircraft maintenance or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience related to aircraft maintenance and/or manufacturing.

Degree equivalency

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
Stream 1:
CASI-Airworthiness, a valid Canadian Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License, (Category M1 OR Category M2 OR Category M1/M2 or Category E).

EXPERIENCE:
STREAM 1:
EX1: Extensive* and Recent** experience (Stream 1):
Holding Aircraft Certifying Authority (ACA) or Shop Certifying Authority (SCA) in a Canadian approved aircraft maintenance organization (AMO)
OR
Holding certifying authority within a Canadian approved manufacturing organization
OR
Holding supervisory or Quality assurance*** responsibilities for activities conducted under an AMO or Approved Manufacturer.

Definitions:
*Extensive experience: the performance of complex activities in a wide variety of situations and has six (6) or more years of Industry experience as a licensed AME.
**Recent: experience acquired within the last 6 years.
***Quality Assurance: programs include quality control and/or quality assurance systems

STREAM 2:
EX1: Extensive* and Recent** experience (Steam 2)
Holding Aircraft Certifying Authority (ACA) or Shop Certifying Authority (SCA) in a Canadian approved aircraft maintenance organization (AMO)
OR
Holding certifying authority within a Canadian approved manufacturing organization
OR
Holding supervisory or Quality assurance*** responsibilities for activities conducted under an AMO or Approved Manufacturer.

EX2: Extensive experience* in the performance or supervision of aeronautical product manufacturing processes. (Stream 2)

Definition:
*Extensive Experience: We expect the candidate has performed various activities and have six (6) or more years of industry experience in the performance or supervision of aeronautical product manufacturing processes
**Recent: experience acquired within the last 6 years.
***Quality Assurance: programs include quality control and/or quality assurance systems

ASSET EXPERIENCE (AEX)

AEX1: Experience using software applications other than word processing and spreadsheet software such as: PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, etc. (Stream 1 and 2)

AEX2: Extensive experience* working in an environment dealing with Rotor Craft operations:(Stream 1 and 2)

AEX3: Extensive experience* working in an environment dealing with Airline operations;(Stream 1 and 2)

AEX4: Extensive experience* working in an environment dealing with Air Taxi operations;(Stream 1 and 2)

AEX5: Extensive experience* working in an environment dealing with Recreational aircraft;(Stream 1 and 2)

AEX6: Extensive experience* working in an environment dealing with Manufacturing processes (welding, plating, etc.); (Stream 1)

AEX7: Extensive experience* working in an environment dealing with Avionics maintenance and repair;(Stream 1 and 2)

AEX8: Extensive experience* working in an environment dealing with Non-destructive testing methods;(Stream 1 and 2)

AEX9: Extensive experience* in the inspection, modification, repair or manufacturing of aeronautical products;(Stream 1)

AEX10: Experience in writing documents, such as investigative reports or court documents;(Stream 1 and 2)

AEX11: Experience in conducting interviews of suspects and witnesses.(Stream 1 and 2)

AEX12: Extensive experience* in the supervision or management of quality assurance programs**.(Stream 1 and 2)

Definition:
*By extensive experience, we expect the candidate has performed complex activities in a wide variety of situations.
