Successful completion of secondary school according to provincial or territorial standards or general equivalency (GED)
Recent* experience in providing accounting and financial support services such as reconciling and analyzing accounts, preparing journal entries, and generating financial reports
Recent* experience using and working in a financial management system such as SAP, Oracle or similar software for the purpose of keying data, data lookup, processing transactions, auditing data or reporting on activities
Recent * experience in applying financial policies, procedures and standards and providing advice to internal or external clients on their application
* Recent is defined as actively engaged in the activity within the last 5 years
Experience in the use of Microsoft Excel or similar software to develop or design financial reports or schedules
Success completion of 2 years post-secondary education in accounting or another specialty relevant to the position
Recent * experience using SAP (departmental financial management system)
Recent * experience working with database systems and electronic financial reporting systems to perform reconciliation of budgets and expenditures
English essential

An interview will be administered.
A written examination will be administered.

Candidates will be asked to provide proof of their education credentials and proof of citizenship (original documents only) at the assessment stage of this process. Failure to do so may result in your application not being considered further in the selection process.
Candidates must provide three supervisory references, one of which must be your current supervisor.

Preference in appointment may be given to employees who have been, or will be, impacted by work force adjustment and/or realignment of work.
Candidates must meet the essential qualifications to be appointed to a position.
